The confirmation step gave way to automatic attribution at statement intake. A holding is added as certain only where the evidence settles it: an exact match, or the asset the issuing exchange itself lists for that ticker. A likelier but unsettled match is added and marked provisional on the dashboard, to approve or change, and a line that cannot be attributed is named rather than guessed. The report footnotes every provisional holding with the basis on which it was attributed.
